Teacher Bios
Maren Crowley
Maren Crowley has studied flute for over 16 years. She received her Bachelors of Musical Arts in flute from Brigham Young University and studied under Dr. Nadine Luke. She has also had the privilege of studying with Marianne Cutchins and Rebecca Chapman. Throughout her music degree Maren was principal flute in the top ensembles and was able to perform with great artists such as the Canadian Brass, Alex Boye, and Joshua Bell.
She has been teaching for 7 years and loves to see the progress made in her students.
As a member of both the National and Utah flute association, she understands and encourages continuing education and growth in music
Sam has studied and performed music for over two decades. He received his Bachelors in Music Education at Brigham Young University-Idaho where he directed his own choir, and regularly accompanied both soloists and university ensembles.
Since graduating he has had a very successful career teaching choir at Draper Park middle school. Extensive knowledge in teaching, composing, and years experience performing as a pianist and as a vocalist make him an ideal teacher. In addition to his position as the choir teacher at Draper Park Middle school, Sam is an assistant director of the Salt Lake Choral Artists.
